ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "RAre, But Not aLone: a Large Italian Network to Empower the Impervious diaGNostic Pathway of Rare cerEbrovascular Diseases" (ALIGNED) is focused on studying rare cerebrovascular diseases (rCVDs) that can lead to strokes. These conditions, like CADASIL, Fabry disease, and Moyamoya syndrome, are often hard to diagnose because many healthcare providers may not recognize them. This trial aims to create a network that helps improve the diagnosis and understanding of these rare diseases across Italy, especially in areas where patients currently have limited access to specialized care.
To participate in this trial, individuals aged 65 to 74 who have been diagnosed with one of the mentioned rCVDs and have had at least one brain MRI may be eligible. Participants can expect to contribute to important research that could lead to better diagnosis and treatment options for rare stroke-related conditions. By joining this study, they will help fill knowledge gaps and improve care for others with similar health issues.
