ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a virtual tour of the surgical environment before orthopedic surgery can help reduce anxiety and improve satisfaction for patients. The goal is to see if familiarizing patients with the operating room and the process through a virtual experience can make them feel more comfortable and satisfied with their surgery.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 18 and 65 years old, able to read and understand information, and planning to have elective orthopedic surgery (which means surgery that is scheduled in advance, not an emergency). They should not have any significant hearing or vision problems, be free from psychiatric treatment, and should not have had prior surgical experiences. If you choose to participate, you can expect to go through a virtual tour and share your feelings about your anxiety and satisfaction during the process. This study is currently looking for participants, so it could be a great opportunity to contribute to important research while preparing for your surgery.
