ClinConnect Summary
The EVIDENTIA Registry is a clinical trial that is studying valvular heart disease (VHD), which affects how the heart's valves function. This study uses a special type of imaging called cardiac CT to get detailed pictures of the heart's structure and how well it works. Researchers are looking to understand how accurate cardiac CT is in assessing heart valves and the heart muscle, how to classify the severity of VHD, and how these imaging results relate to patient outcomes and treatments.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with VHD, specifically mitral or tricuspid regurgitation, through an echocardiogram (a type of ultrasound of the heart). If you qualify, you’ll have a cardiac CT scan before any planned surgery or intervention for your condition. The study aims to help improve how doctors evaluate and treat VHD, ultimately helping patients like you receive better care.
