ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), which are common conditions that cause pain and problems with jaw movement. People with TMD often experience symptoms like jaw pain, difficulty opening their mouths, and sounds coming from the jaw joint. These issues can make everyday activities, such as eating and talking, challenging and can lower a person's quality of life. The goal of the study is to better understand how pain, movement limitations, and neck problems are all connected in people with TMD, so that effective treatment strategies can be developed.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 55 years old and have been diagnosed with TMD, showing at least one of the main symptoms: jaw pain, limited ability to open your mouth, or jaw sounds. You should also have a specific score on a mental health exam and report a certain level of pain. If you have had major surgery on your head or neck, are taking certain medications, or have other dental issues, you may not be eligible. Participants will be closely monitored throughout the study to gather important information that could help improve treatments for TMD in the future.
