ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how acute leukemia patients perform in terms of their thinking, physical abilities, and nutrition while they are receiving intensive chemotherapy. The goal is to understand how treatment affects these important areas over time. The trial is taking place at a single medical center, where doctors and specialists will evaluate patients at three different points: when they first start treatment, when they finish, and three weeks later.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old, diagnosed with acute leukemia, and currently receiving intensive chemotherapy in the hospital. They should also be able to move around without restrictions. Patients who join the study will need to give their written consent, meaning they agree to participate after being informed about the study. Throughout the trial, they will receive support from a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, physical therapists, and nutritionists, who will help assess their progress. This study is currently looking for participants, and it aims to provide valuable insights into how treatment impacts overall health and well-being for those battling acute leukemia.
