ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at the effectiveness of acupuncture for people suffering from shoulder pain. It involves 90 participants who will be divided into three groups: one group will receive acupuncture at specific points related to the pain, another group will receive acupuncture at different points, and the third group will follow a rehabilitation program. The researchers will measure how much pain participants have and how well they can move their shoulders at different times during the study.

To join the trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have had shoulder pain for at least a week, with a pain score of 4 or higher on a scale of 0 to 10. However, people with certain conditions, such as nerve problems in the neck or psychiatric disorders, or those who are pregnant, cannot participate. Throughout the trial, participants can expect to receive treatments and have their pain and shoulder movement evaluated by trained professionals who do not know which group participants are in, ensuring a fair assessment of the results.
