Cervicogenic Headache Myofascial Release Kinesio Taping

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different treatments for cervicogenic headache (CGH), a type of headache that comes with neck pain. The trial will compare the effectiveness of Kinesio taping and myofascial release therapy, along with a home exercise program, to see which method helps relieve the pain better. A total of 90 participants aged 18 to 65 who have experienced CGH for at least three months may be eligible to join. To qualify, they need to have specific symptoms like one-sided pain and limited neck movement, but they cannot have other serious conditions or have had recent physical therapy.

Participants in the trial can expect to be divided into three groups: one will receive myofascial release therapy plus exercises, another will get Kinesio taping plus exercises, and the last group will only do the exercise program. Each group will attend sessions three times a week for four weeks. Evaluations will take place before treatment starts, at the end of the treatment, and one month after to see how well the treatments worked. This study aims to find the best approach to help people suffering from cervicogenic headaches and improve their quality of life.
