ClinConnect Summary
The NURTURE Registry is a clinical study aimed at understanding how rheumatic diseases, which are conditions that affect the immune system and joints, impact pregnancy and reproductive health. This study is specifically for women aged 12 to 55 who are either currently pregnant or planning to become pregnant and have been diagnosed with an autoimmune or rheumatic condition. Participants must receive their care through the Duke Health System and be able to give informed consent to join the study.
If you decide to participate, you will complete surveys about your health and pregnancy at different stages—before conception, during pregnancy, and after giving birth. Your doctor will also provide information about your diagnosis and treatment. This study will help researchers collect important data to improve pregnancy outcomes for women with these conditions, such as identifying risks for complications and understanding the effects of medications during pregnancy. The best part is that you won't need to attend additional study visits; your participation is integrated into your regular care.
