ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a condition called dyspepsia, which is a common digestive issue characterized by symptoms like stomach pain, bloating, and discomfort. The researchers aim to better understand the causes of dyspepsia by examining how the stomach moves and functions. They will look at how symptoms relate to stomach emptying and other activities in the stomach. Currently, there are no FDA-approved medications specifically for dyspepsia, so the goal is to find safe and effective ways to treat it.
To participate in this study, individuals aged 18 to 75 who have experienced symptoms of dyspepsia for at least six months may be eligible. However, those with certain heart conditions or other serious health issues that could affect their safety or the study’s results will not be able to join. Participants will undergo tests to measure their gastric function and will be monitored throughout the process. This research hopes to lead to better treatments for dyspepsia in the future.
