ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how thinking while performing tasks affects balance and stability in young adults. Researchers want to understand how doing a secondary task—like solving a problem—can influence a person’s ability to recover their balance after they experience a sudden push or loss of stability. They will also compare how this effect may differ between young men and women.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to be university students aged 18 to 30 who can stand independently and walk without assistance. They should not have any history of neurological issues (problems related to the brain and nerves) or musculoskeletal conditions (like joint or muscle issues). If you decide to participate, you will help researchers learn important information about how our brains and bodies work together to maintain balance, which could lead to better strategies for preventing falls in the future. The trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to gather valuable insights once it begins.
