Cooking Methods Induction Stoves

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on helping families in Cambodia switch from traditional cooking methods, like using wood or charcoal stoves, to electric induction stoves. The study aims to find out the best ways to encourage families to make this change, whether using induction stoves reduces air pollution in their homes, and what the costs and benefits of this switch are. Researchers will test four different strategies across 62 villages and measure how often families use the new stoves and the air quality in their homes before and after they start using them.

To participate in this study, you need to be part of a household that has electricity and does not already use electric induction cooking. At least one adult in your home, who is the main cook, must agree to take part in the study. If you join, you will receive an electric induction stove and support to help you use it. Researchers will track your stove usage and measure air pollution in your home, while also asking about your cooking habits and experiences. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to improve cooking methods and air quality for families in the region.
