ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to improve how we measure physical activity and sitting time in people who have had a stroke. The researchers will use special motion sensors, like accelerometers and pressure insoles, to track the movements of both arms and legs. By testing different ways to set up these sensors, they aim to get the most accurate information possible about how much participants move and how much time they spend sitting or standing. The goal is to create a reliable method that can be used not only in labs but also in everyday settings, like at home or outside.
To participate in the trial, individuals need to be at least 18 years old, have had a stroke confirmed by a doctor, and be more than two weeks post-stroke. They should also have some difficulty moving on one side of their body but still be able to follow simple instructions. Participants will help the researchers refine this new activity measurement system, and they'll learn how to use it easily in their daily lives. It's a chance to contribute to a study that could help improve understanding of post-stroke recovery and physical activity.
