ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to compare two different treatments for post-acne scars on the face. Researchers want to see which is more effective: a 35% glycolic acid peel or a 20% salicylic acid peel. Both treatments will be tested over a period of 12 weeks, and their effectiveness will be measured using a specific scale that looks at the appearance of the scars.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 45 years old and have mild to moderate scars from acne. You should not have any active acne or be receiving treatment for it. Some people will not be eligible, including those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of certain types of scars, or have had specific skin treatments recently. If you decide to take part, you’ll receive one of the two treatments and have follow-up appointments to assess how well it’s working. Overall, this trial aims to help improve the options available for treating post-acne scars.
