ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Empowering Healthy Lifestyle Behavior to Prevent and Control Obesity in Young Adults," is focused on helping young adults aged 18 to 25 who are overweight. The main goal is to test a new app designed to encourage healthier eating and lifestyle choices. Researchers want to see if young adults find the app helpful and if they stick with using it over time. This study is important because many young people face challenges in making healthy choices as they become more independent, which can lead to weight gain.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be young adults living in Portugal with a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 25 and 30, indicating they are overweight. However, those with serious health conditions, specific diet plans, or eating disorders will not be able to join. Participants can expect to use the app to help them improve their diet and habits, and their feedback will be valuable in shaping future programs aimed at preventing obesity.
