ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, taking place at Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar, aims to find out if using the World Health Organization (WHO) Trauma Care Checklist can improve the treatment and recovery of patients with serious injuries. Injuries can lead to significant health issues and even death, so it's essential that doctors provide the best care possible. The checklist serves as a helpful tool to ensure that important steps in treatment are not forgotten.
In this study, adults aged 18 to 60 who are awake and able to communicate will be invited to participate. They will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: one group will receive standard care for their injuries, while the other will receive care guided by the WHO checklist. Researchers will track various outcomes, such as pain levels, recovery progress, and any complications, to understand if the checklist truly makes a difference in patient safety and satisfaction. It's important to note that certain individuals, such as those who are pregnant or have specific medical conditions, will not be eligible to join the trial.
