ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a specific type of muscle response, called Arthrogenic Motor Inhibition (AMI), relates to the recovery of patients who have suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture. The main goal is to find out if there is a connection between AMI classification and the overall clinical assessment of patients after they experience this injury. Participants will undergo two tests: surface electromyography (EMG) to measure muscle activity and Myotonometry to assess muscle stiffness.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 18 and 45 years old and have a confirmed ACL rupture that happened within the last 30 days. They should also be able to speak French and agree to the use of their medical data. Unfortunately, people with previous knee injuries or surgeries, multiple ligament injuries, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot participate. If you join the study, you'll help researchers better understand how muscle responses impact recovery after an ACL injury, which could lead to improved treatment options in the future.
