ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help people who have had a stroke improve their arm strength and coordination. The researchers are focusing on something called "motor imagery," which means thinking about or imagining moving your arm without actually moving it. This technique has shown promise in helping stroke survivors regain some function in their arms, which can greatly improve their ability to do everyday tasks and enhance their quality of life.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 45 years old and have had your stroke for at least six months. You should also have a good level of understanding and cognitive ability, as indicated by a screening test. However, if you have any serious health issues, past surgeries, or certain physical conditions, you may not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to take part in sessions where you will practice this mental rehearsal of arm movements, aiming to boost your arm function over time. Overall, this trial aims to provide valuable insights into a non-physical way to support recovery after a stroke.
