ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how an active learning approach can help undergraduate physiotherapy students improve their skills in using evidence-based practice (EBP). EBP means using the best available research to make informed decisions about patient care. The trial involves a four-month course where students participate in small group activities, such as searching for literature, evaluating research, and giving presentations. The researchers will assess how these activities affect students' beliefs, skills, and how often they apply EBP in their studies and future careers.

To participate in this trial, students must be enrolled in the Research Methods course at the Universidad Nacional de La Matanza during the March to July 2024 term, attend at least 80% of the classes, and give their consent to be part of the study. Participants will complete questionnaires at the beginning of the course, immediately after it ends, and a week later to track their progress and satisfaction with the learning experience. This study aims to better understand how active learning can enhance physiotherapy education, which could ultimately improve patient care in the future.
