ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how swimming exercises can help improve heart function in women who have a condition called diastolic dysfunction, which affects how the heart fills with blood. Over 12 weeks, participants will take part in swimming sessions of varying intensity to see if this type of exercise can positively impact their cardiovascular health. The study is particularly focused on women aged 40 to 60 who do not have any other significant heart problems.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be women within the specified age range who have been diagnosed with stage 1 diastolic dysfunction but have no other heart issues. They should also be non-smokers and not have a history of substance use. Those who decide to join will need to sign an agreement to participate and will engage in regular swimming sessions designed for their condition. Importantly, the trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to shed light on the benefits of exercise in managing heart health for women facing this challenge.
