ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at the effects of two treatments for vitiligo, a skin condition where patches of skin lose their color. The study will compare narrowband UVB (NB-UVB) phototherapy, which is a type of light treatment, both alone and combined with a low dose of oral steroids. Researchers want to find out how these treatments affect certain immune system markers in the blood that are related to the condition.

To participate in the trial, individuals must have been diagnosed with non-segmental vitiligo that has been stable for at least three months and fall within specific skin types common in the Egyptian population. Participants should not have had recent treatments for vitiligo and should not have any other serious health issues, such as active infections or certain skin disorders. The trial is not yet recruiting, but once it starts, participants can expect regular check-ups and tests to monitor their progress and the effects of the treatments.
