ClinConnect Summary
The LIFE-TB trial is a study looking at the long-term effects of tuberculosis (TB) on lung health and overall well-being in people living in Korea. Researchers are interested in understanding how TB affects breathing, lung function, and quality of life after treatment. They will be following participants for five years to gather important information that can help improve care for people who have had TB.
To be part of this study, you need to be at least 19 years old and either currently receiving treatment for pulmonary TB or have a history of treated pulmonary TB. Unfortunately, if you have TB that affects parts of your body other than the lungs, you won’t be eligible. Participants will be asked to share information about their health, including any breathing issues and how TB has impacted their daily lives. This study aims to create a better understanding of post-TB health, which can ultimately help others who have faced similar challenges.
