ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different types of surgical guides that dentists use to place dental implants. These guides help ensure that implants are placed accurately and can be classified based on how they are supported: by teeth, gums, or bone. For example, some guides are supported by teeth on both sides (bilateral), while others may rely on teeth on one side and gums or bone on the other (unilateral). The trial will compare various types of guides to see which works best under similar conditions, particularly for patients who need dental implants.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be missing one or more teeth or have no teeth at all, and they need to maintain good oral hygiene. Unfortunately, individuals with certain conditions—like difficulty opening their mouth, a strong gag reflex, or a history of specific treatments like radiation or bisphosphonates—will not be able to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to learn more about the different surgical guides and their use in dental procedures, helping to improve future treatments for others.
