ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different types of therapy to help improve balance and mobility in patients who have had a stroke. Specifically, it compares "Action Observation Therapy," which involves watching others perform movements, to a "Motor Relearning Program," which focuses on practicing movements directly. The goal is to see which method is more effective for people recovering from a subacute stroke.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 45 years old and have had an ischemic stroke, which is caused by a blockage in blood flow to the brain. They should be able to stand independently for a minute and maintain a sitting position for 10 seconds without using their arms for support. However, those with other neurological disorders, serious injuries affecting movement, or significant vision or hearing issues cannot join. If eligible, participants can expect to engage in either therapy and help researchers learn more about effective rehabilitation methods for stroke recovery.
