ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different treatments for people who have been dealing with sciatic pain for more than three months. Sciatica is a condition that causes pain along the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back down to the legs. The trial aims to compare two methods: Neural Mobilization, which involves moving the nerves to help relieve pain, and Manual Myofascial Release, a technique that focuses on relaxing tight muscles in the lower back and hips. The goal is to find out which method works better for managing sciatic pain.
To participate in the trial, individuals must have been diagnosed with sciatic pain on one side of their body for over three months and should have a positive result on a test called the Straight Leg Raise (SLR), which helps assess nerve pain. However, those who have had recent spinal surgery, have certain neurological issues, or other serious health conditions will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive either treatment and contribute to important research that aims to improve care for people suffering from sciatic pain. The trial is not yet recruiting, so there's still time to learn more before it starts.
