ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on creating a new system to help prevent falls among older adults living in care homes. Falls can be a serious issue for seniors, so the trial aims to work with various key people—like caregivers, health professionals, and family members—to develop and test this new approach. They will hold workshops to gather ideas and feedback, ensuring that everyone's voice is heard, especially the residents of the care homes. The goal is to not only create a practical model for managing falls but also to find out how well this model works in real-life settings across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be at least 18 years old and include key stakeholders such as caregivers, health professionals, care home managers, and residents or their relatives. Participants can expect to share their experiences and insights during workshops that will help shape the falls management system. It's important to note that individuals who cannot read or understand English or those who cannot give informed consent will not be included in the study. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to create a supportive and effective way to reduce falls in care homes.
