ClinConnect Summary
The SPART-A study is looking at how people who have had a stroke and developed a condition called aphasia— which affects their ability to communicate—are participating in their communities, along with the support they receive from their caregivers. The goal is to understand what activities these individuals can still engage in, what their caregivers are doing, and what helps or hinders their ability to take part in community life. This study is taking place in the Valladolid region of Spain.
To join the study, participants must be at least 18 years old, have experienced a stroke more than six months ago, and live in the Valladolid area. They should also be able to walk independently. Caregivers of these individuals are also invited to participate. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, those who qualify can expect to share their experiences and insights about community involvement, which may help improve support for people with aphasia and their caregivers in the future.
