ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how a specific practice called "Feeding Your Demons" (FYD) can help improve the mental well-being and self-image of women. The study aims to see if this method, which is based on ideas from Tibetan Buddhism, can enhance feelings of self-acceptance, compassion, and overall psychological health. Women who join the study will be randomly placed in either the FYD group or a group that practices mindfulness meditation. Researchers will evaluate changes in mental health and body image before the practice starts, right after, and again six months later. They will also conduct interviews with some participants to gather more detailed feedback.
To participate in this trial, women must be between 30 and 60 years old, identify as female, and have been living in Spain for at least five years. They should also be fluent in Spanish and have at least a month of experience with meditation or mindfulness practices. However, women with certain mental health issues, eating disorders, or those who have a history of substance use or neurological diseases will not be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to engage in meaningful practices that could enhance your well-being while contributing to valuable research.
