ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a smartphone app called MED-AD in helping patients with heart-related conditions, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol, remember to take their medications. The goal is to see if using this app can improve how well patients stick to their medication plans compared to those who receive just text message reminders or standard care without any reminders. Researchers will check the results at the start of the study, as well as six months and one year later.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old, diagnosed with a heart condition, and have been prescribed medication for at least a year. They should also have a smartphone that can run the app. Participants can expect to be randomly assigned to one of three groups: one using the MED-AD app, one getting daily text reminders, and one receiving regular care without reminders. This is a great opportunity for individuals to potentially improve their health outcomes while contributing to important research.
