ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how a special rehabilitation program in the underground salt chambers of the 'Wieliczka' Salt Mine might help elderly people with respiratory diseases. The researchers want to see if spending time in this unique environment can improve how well these individuals breathe, their overall physical abilities, and even how their blood flows.

To join the study, participants need to be 65 years or older and have chronic respiratory conditions that are stable, meaning they aren’t having any serious flare-ups. They also need to be able to provide written consent to take part. Participants can expect to engage in rehabilitation activities while benefiting from the therapeutic environment of the salt mine. It's important to note that those with certain health issues or who cannot participate in physical activity will not be eligible for the study. Overall, this trial aims to explore a potentially helpful treatment for older adults struggling with breathing difficulties.
