ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether a type of education called psychoeducation can help people feel less pain when they use mindfulness techniques. Mindfulness is a practice that focuses on being present in the moment and can sometimes help reduce pain. In this study, patients waiting for treatment at the Tallahassee Orthopedic Center will receive information about mindfulness and then participate in a mindfulness-based activity to see if it makes a difference in their pain relief.
To join the trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old, fluent in English, and currently receiving treatment for pain at the orthopedic clinic. However, those who cannot give their consent due to physical or mental health issues cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to learn more about mindfulness and how it may help with your pain, while also contributing to valuable research that could benefit others in the future.
