ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how listening to music can affect golfers' performance when they are feeling mentally tired. The researchers want to see if music can help improve skills like driving, iron shots, chipping, and putting after participants have gone through a task that makes them feel mentally fatigued. The study will involve three groups: one group will listen to music after feeling mentally tired, another group will feel mentally tired without music, and a third group will not experience mental fatigue or listen to music at all.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 18 and 24 years old, be registered golfers in a specific championship, have at least three years of golf training, and practice at least five times a week. Those who have certain conditions, like color blindness or ongoing mental health issues, won't be able to participate. If chosen, participants can expect to go through a 45-minute session that includes a mental fatigue task and, if applicable, a music intervention, followed by golf skill testing nearby. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to find out if music can help golfers perform better when they are feeling tired.
