ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how living with congenital heart disease (CHD) affects mental health, particularly focusing on conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Researchers want to find out if certain experiences throughout a person's life, such as surgeries or bullying related to their heart condition, might lead to a higher chance of developing PTSD. They will also assess how being resilient, or having the ability to cope with challenges, might help reduce the risk of PTSD in these patients.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be at least 18 years old, have a diagnosis of congenital heart disease, and be enrolled in the CHI registry. They should also be comfortable completing surveys in English and have access to the internet. During the trial, participants will complete surveys and interviews to help researchers gather important information about their mental health and experiences. This study is not yet recruiting, but it aims to provide valuable insights into the mental health of adults living with congenital heart disease.
