ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help manage preeclampsia, a serious pregnancy complication that causes high blood pressure and can harm both mothers and their babies. Researchers are looking at a therapy that stimulates the vagus nerve, which may help improve blood pressure and reduce complications. The goal is to see if combining this therapy with standard blood pressure medications can be more effective than medication alone.
To participate in this study, women over 18 years old who are experiencing mild preeclampsia and have not received treatment before may be eligible. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either standard treatment with a special physical therapy technique or that same treatment combined with the new vagus nerve stimulation therapy. This study is not yet recruiting, but if you qualify and choose to join, you can expect to help researchers learn more about this non-invasive approach to managing preeclampsia, potentially leading to better health outcomes for both mothers and babies.
