ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special training program using battle ropes can help improve the throwing skills of young adaptive bocce players, aged 10 to 18 years. The study will include 18 participants who have physical disabilities that allow them to play adaptive sports. To be eligible, players must be able to follow instructions and not have had recent injuries or surgeries that affect their upper body. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will do the battle rope training three times a week for eight weeks, while the other will continue with their regular bocce practice.
During the trial, participants can expect to improve their upper body strength, endurance, and coordination. Before and after the training, their throwing accuracy, grip strength, and shoulder endurance will be measured to see how effective the program is. The goal of the study is to find out if this new type of training can help young athletes perform better in bocce, which is a game similar to bowling and can be played by individuals with various abilities. If you're interested in this trial, it's a great opportunity to contribute to research that could benefit young athletes like you!
