Berbevis Dose-finding Study in Subjects With Impaired Fasting Glucose

This clinical trial is studying a supplement called Berbevis™ to see how it affects adults with impaired fasting glucose (IFG), which means their blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not yet at diabetes levels. The trial will include 90 participants who have a fasting blood glucose level between 100 and 126 mg/dL and a body mass index (BMI) between 25 and 35. Participants will be divided into three groups, each receiving a different daily dose of Berbevis™ (500 mg, 750 mg, or 1000 mg) for two months.

To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 65 and 74 years old, have a fasting blood sugar level in the specified range, and meet the BMI requirements. Unfortunately, those with a fasting blood glucose level below 100 mg/dL or a BMI under 25 or over 35 cannot participate. During the trial, participants can expect to take the supplement daily and attend regular check-ups to monitor their health and blood sugar levels. This study aims to find out which dose of Berbevis™ is most effective for managing blood sugar levels in people with IFG.
