ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to help pregnant women who are struggling with opioid use disorder (OUD) by using a collaborative care model (CCM). This approach involves working together with healthcare providers to improve the health of these women and their families in community-based hospitals in Northwest Pennsylvania, where opioid-related issues are much more common than in other areas. The goal is to see if this model can make a positive difference in health outcomes for both mothers and their children during pregnancy and after childbirth.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old, speak English, and receive care at one of the participating obstetric sites. This includes both patients who are pregnant and healthcare workers providing care. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but once it begins, those involved can expect to take part in discussions and activities aimed at improving their care and support. It's important to note that participants will need to agree to have their conversations recorded for the study.
