ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how special communication techniques can help improve the emotional well-being of children aged 7 to 12 who are in the intensive care unit (ICU). When children are in the ICU, they may feel scared or anxious due to their health issues and the hospital environment. The researchers want to see if using storytelling and drawing as ways to communicate can make these children feel better emotionally. They will look at how these techniques affect feelings of anxiety and overall emotional state by comparing children who receive these techniques with those who do not.
To participate, children must be between 7 and 12 years old, currently receiving treatment in the ICU, and able to understand and speak Turkish. They should be conscious and not have serious symptoms like pain or nausea. The study will involve filling out some questionnaires and participating in activities like storytelling and drawing over two days. This research aims to help improve how we communicate with children in the ICU, ultimately supporting their emotional health during difficult times.
