ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how effective two different teaching methods using virtual reality (VR) are for medical students learning to care for critically ill children. The study will compare self-guided VR training, where students learn on their own, with facilitator-guided training, where an instructor helps them through the process. Researchers want to see if both methods teach students equally well and how comfortable students feel using each approach. They will also check how many students might feel any discomfort, known as cybersickness, while using the VR system.
To participate, students must be enrolled in medical schools in Denmark and be within two years of graduating. During the trial, participants will work on three different VR scenarios that simulate real-life situations with critically ill children. They will take tests before and after the VR sessions to measure their learning and complete surveys about their experiences and any symptoms related to cybersickness. This study aims to find the best way to prepare future doctors for challenging medical situations in a safe and engaging way.
