ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how two supportive approaches, mindfulness and haptonomy, can help pregnant women who are afraid of childbirth. Fear of childbirth is common and can lead to feelings of anxiety, making it harder for women to bond with their babies. The researchers want to see if these techniques can improve women's confidence in giving birth, their emotional connection to their unborn child, and reduce their anxiety levels. The study will involve 225 women who are around 28 weeks pregnant and experiencing significant fear about childbirth.

To be eligible for the study, participants must be first-time mothers, have a healthy pregnancy, and agree to take part in the research. Women who are selected will be divided into three groups: one will practice mindfulness techniques, another will engage in haptonomy (which is a way to connect emotionally with the baby), and the last group will not receive any intervention. Throughout the study, participants will fill out questionnaires to help measure their feelings and experiences related to childbirth. By participating, they will contribute to important research aimed at making childbirth a more positive experience for future mothers.
