ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how personalized education about caring for premature infants can help mothers feel more confident and connected to their babies. When a baby is born prematurely, it can be a challenging time for mothers, often leading to feelings of stress and anxiety. The goal of this study is to see if teaching mothers about developmental care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) can improve their confidence, known as self-efficacy, and strengthen the emotional bond between them and their babies, which is crucial for the baby’s healthy development.
To participate in this study, mothers need to have a premature baby born between 22 and 32 weeks of pregnancy who has been in the NICU for at least a month. They should not have any diagnosed mental health issues and must be willing to take part in the research. If eligible, mothers can expect to receive tailored educational support that will help them engage more actively in their baby's care. This initiative aims to improve both mothers' experiences and the overall health outcomes for their infants.
