ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on understanding how well total hip arthroplasty (THA), which is a type of hip replacement surgery, works for patients who had prior surgeries to treat hip problems like hip dysplasia during their childhood or early adulthood. The researchers want to see how these earlier treatments, such as pelvic or femoral osteotomies (surgeries that change the position of the bones around the hip), affect the long-term success and function of the hip replacement.

To participate in this trial, individuals must have had a total hip replacement between 1998 and 2010 and should have previously undergone surgery for hip dysplasia. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, those who qualify can expect to share their experiences and outcomes related to their hip surgery. This study aims to provide valuable insights into how early interventions can influence the longevity and effectiveness of hip replacements for people with a history of hip issues.
