ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how training in caring for an Arteriovenous Fistula (AVF) affects the lives of patients undergoing hemodialysis. The goal is to see if providing education on AVF care can improve patients’ quality of life, comfort, and ability to take care of themselves. By teaching patients about their treatment through various methods, like videos and personal meetings with nurses, the hope is that they will feel more confident and comfortable with their care.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old, speak Turkish, and have been receiving hemodialysis treatment three times a week for at least six months. They should also have an AVF and not have any cognitive or mental health issues that would prevent them from joining. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it starts, those who join can expect to learn more about their AVF care and potentially experience improvements in how they feel overall. The results will also be shared at international conferences and in medical journals to help spread the knowledge gained from the study.
