ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how physical activity levels can be predicted in adult patients with hemophilia, a condition that affects blood clotting and can lead to joint damage called hemophilic arthropathy. The goal is to understand how active these patients are and to find the best ways to predict their physical activity levels. Researchers will gather information from 88 male participants who have severe hemophilia and joint issues in their lower limbs. They will measure physical activity and look at factors like pain, fear of movement, and overall ability to perform daily tasks.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adult men over 18 who have a diagnosis of severe hemophilia A or B and are experiencing joint problems. However, individuals over 60, those who need walking aids, or those who struggle with daily activities due to dependence or cognitive difficulties cannot participate. While the study is not yet recruiting patients, those who join can expect to fill out various questionnaires about their physical activity, pain levels, and how well they can manage everyday tasks. This research may help improve understanding of physical activity in people with hemophilia and ultimately lead to better care and support for patients.
