ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Dosage of Early Rehabilitation of ICU Patients," is studying how different ways of getting patients moving in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) can help them recover better. The researchers want to understand which methods of mobilization—like physical therapy and early walking—lead to the best outcomes for patients in terms of their physical abilities and overall quality of life. They plan to gather information from over 6,000 patients from various countries to learn about these practices worldwide.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be adults aged 18 or older who are admitted to the ICU and are expected to stay there for more than 24 hours. Patients who are receiving end-of-life care, those whose treatment plans are not finalized, individuals who may not be able to participate fully due to their health status, or those with language barriers will not be included. Participants in this study won’t receive any new treatments; instead, researchers will collect standard information about their care and recovery. This trial aims to improve future rehabilitation practices for ICU patients by learning from current practices.
