ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new imaging technique using a special substance called \[68Ga\] Ga-DOTA-mDesmo to help diagnose Cushing syndrome, particularly a type known as Cushing disease. Cushing syndrome is a condition that leads to excess levels of a hormone called cortisol, often caused by tumors in the pituitary gland. Current methods to detect these tumors can be challenging, especially when they are small. The new imaging technique aims to provide a more accurate way to identify these tumors, which could improve treatment success rates.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between the ages of 5 and 75 and have been diagnosed with Cushing syndrome. Participants will undergo imaging tests using the new substance to see how well it works in detecting tumors. It's important to note that this trial is open to anyone, regardless of gender, and aims to include a diverse group of patients. If you or a family member are interested, you’ll need to give your consent and meet certain health criteria. This study could lead to better ways to diagnose and treat Cushing syndrome, ultimately helping many patients.
