ClinConnect Summary
The Left Ventricular Thrombus Registry is a clinical trial aimed at understanding blood clots that can form in the heart's main chamber, especially in people who have had a heart attack or heart failure. These blood clots, known as Left Ventricular Thrombus (LVT), can lead to serious health issues like strokes. The researchers want to learn more about why these clots develop and how to manage them better, which could help many patients in the future.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 65 and 74 years old and either have an LVT or be at risk for developing one due to certain heart conditions. If you join, you will have some routine blood tests and may need to answer a short questionnaire about your quality of life to help us understand how this condition affects you. Additionally, a small sample of blood—about the size of a tablespoon—will be taken at the start and again after six months for research purposes. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to gather important information that could lead to better treatments for heart health.
