ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program called REDOCVR, which aims to help people with chronic pain safely reduce their use of pain medications, particularly opioids. The program combines education, physical activities, and emotional support, all enhanced with virtual reality (VR) experiences that make learning engaging and enjoyable. Participants will work with healthcare professionals to gradually lower their medication doses while also focusing on improving their overall well-being and coping skills.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be adults aged 18 and older who have been living with chronic non-cancer pain for at least three months and show symptoms related to central sensitization, like emotional distress or fear of movement. They should be able to attend scheduled sessions and provide informed consent. Throughout the study, participants can expect to learn new skills, receive support, and track improvements in their pain management, emotional health, and quality of life. This trial is currently recruiting participants and aims to find effective ways to manage chronic pain in primary care settings.
