ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how different types of exercise programs can help improve balance and quality of life for individuals with Peripheral Diabetic Neuropathy, a condition that affects the nerves in people with diabetes. Specifically, the study will compare supervised exercise sessions, where participants will work out with guidance, to non-supervised sessions, where they will exercise on their own. The goal is to see which approach is more effective in helping participants manage their symptoms and stay active.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 55 and 70 years old, have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 10 years, and have a specific score on a screening test for nerve damage. However, those with certain health conditions, such as severe heart disease or major mobility issues, won't be included. If you join the study, you can expect to take part in regular exercise sessions, either guided or on your own, and we will assess how these exercises affect your balance and overall well-being. This research could help improve exercise recommendations for people living with diabetes in the future.
