ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to help people recover from a stroke using a system called the Mechatronic Remote Physiotherapy System (MRPS). The trial will compare this enhanced method of rehabilitation, known as Early Supported Discharge (ESD), with traditional ESD. The main goals are to see if the MRPS is safe and effective, how satisfied patients are with it, and if it costs less than the traditional approach. Participants in the MRPS group will use the system for about 6-8 weeks, receiving therapy tailored to their needs, while those in the control group will have typical in-person therapy sessions.
To join this trial, participants need to have had a stroke, completed their initial rehabilitation, and be able to safely participate. They should also be comfortable using technology and speak English. The trial is not yet recruiting, but if you or someone you know is interested, please keep an eye out for updates. Important to note is that participants will need access to the MRPS platform, which means having reliable internet and the ability to use the technology. This trial aims to find better ways to support stroke recovery and improve the overall rehabilitation experience.
