ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the connection between aortic valve sclerosis, a condition where the aortic valve becomes stiff and thickened, and the severity of coronary heart disease, which affects the heart's blood supply. Researchers will use a special heart ultrasound called a transthoracic echo Doppler to assess how severe the aortic valve sclerosis is in patients who will also undergo a procedure called coronary angiography, which looks at the blood vessels in the heart. The goal is to better understand how these two conditions are related.
To participate in this study, individuals must have been diagnosed with aortic sclerosis using the transthoracic echo Doppler test. However, those with certain heart conditions, such as rheumatic heart disease or congenital aortic valve disease, will not be eligible. This trial is still in the planning stages and has not yet started recruiting participants. If you qualify and decide to join, you can expect to undergo the heart ultrasound and the angiography to help researchers gather important information about these heart conditions.
